Regular Season Round 13: MBC - EWE Baskets 86-113

The game between 17th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (2-11) and sixth ranked EWE Baskets (7-5) in Weissenfels on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Oldenburg outscored Mitteldeutscher BC 113-86. EWE Baskets shot 61.3 percent from the field and made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: WKU) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian point guard Jovan Novak (188-94, agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively for Mitteldeutscher BC in the defeat. Four EWE Baskets and five Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. EWE Baskets moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Crailsheim and Vechta. Mitteldeutscher BC lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. EWE Baskets will meet Braunschweig (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against ALBA Berlin (#3) and hope to secure a win.
