There was no surprise in Traiskirchen where 9th ranked Arkadia Lions (3-11) were crushed by fourth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (10-4) 88-59. The game without a history. Kapfenberg Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Arkadia Lions' 28. They outrebounded Arkadia Lions 44-26 including 18 on the offensive glass. Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (192-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 4 assists. American forward Jeremy Jones (201-96, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian point guard Jan Razdevsek (191-0) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Paul Isbetcherian (176-0) added 14 points and 8 assists in the effort for Arkadia Lions. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Arkadia Lions lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against UBSC Graz (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Arkadia Lions will play against the league's leader Gmunden Swans and hope to get back on the winning track.
