Very important is a road loss of second ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (10-3) against fourth ranked Brose Baskets (8-4) on Friday night. Visiting EnBW Ludwigsburg was defeated by Brose Baskets in a tough game in Bamberg 68-75. Brose Baskets players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by EnBW Ludwigsburg's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American point guard Paris Lee (183-95, college: Illinois St.) stepped up and scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Five Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. At the losing side Trinidad and Tobago-American guard Khadeen Carrington (193-95, college: Seton Hall) responded with 21 points and American guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: MTSU, agency: BeoBasket) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brose Baskets maintains fourth place with 8-4 record. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Brose Baskets will play against league's leader Bayern Muenchen at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
