A very close game took place in Gaziantep between Acibadem and Gaziantep. Fourteenth ranked Acibadem (4-10) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Gaziantep (5-9). Acibadem managed to escape with a 2-point win 92-90 on Saturday evening. Acibadem dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Gaziantep's 44. The best player for the winners was American point guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Network Sports International) who scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import power forward JaJuan Johnson (206-89, college: Purdue) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Acibadem's coach Zafer Aktas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91, agency: Wasserman) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and American guard Jason Rich (191-86) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Acibadem moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with OGM Orman. Gaziantep lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Afyon. Acibadem will meet at home higher ranked Turk Telekom (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gaziantep will play against Galatasaray and will have a slim chance for a victory.
