Regular Season Round 14: ITU BB - Galatasaray 83-86

Sixteenth-ranked ITU BB (1-13) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Galatasaray (10-4) in Istanbul. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 86-83. However their fans expected much easier game. New Zealand guard Tai Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. American Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. American guard Matt Mobley (190-94, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Bahamas forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, college: WKU, agency: Interperformances) added 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for ITU BB. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Galatasaray have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. ITU BB lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Galatasaray's next round opponent will be Gaziantep (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. ITU BB will play against Afyon Bld (#12) in Afyonkarahisar and hope to win that game.
