Regular Season Round 14: Svendborg - Amager 101-87

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Amager BK (1-11) lost on the road to fifth ranked Svendborg (8-7) 101-87. It looked good early as Amager BK took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Svendborg had a 34-22 second period charge getting the lead and Amager BK was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 87-101. Svendborg forced 21 Amager BK turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import power forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American guard Robert Fields (184-88, college: Catawba) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Australian power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Amager BK's coach Almir Zeco rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Svendborg have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 8-7 record which they share with defeated Amager BK. Amager BK lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Svendborg's next round opponent will be higher ranked Copenhagen (#4) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Amager BK will play against EBAA in Aarhus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
