The game in Vienna supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (12-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Hallmann (5-10). Kapfenberg Bulls smashed Hallmann 97-72. It looked good early as Hallmann took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kapfenberg Bulls had a 23-11 second period charge getting the lead and Hallmann was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-97. Kapfenberg Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hallmann's 28. They outrebounded Hallmann 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (192-92) who scored that evening 27 points and 6 assists and American forward Jeremy Jones (201-96, college: Gonzaga) supported him with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Coffin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international Jason Detrick (195-80, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Hallmann. Israeli center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) added 23 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Kapfenberg Bulls have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 12-4 record behind leader Gmunden, which they share with Klosterneuburg and Oberwart. Hallmann at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against league's leader Gmunden Swans on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hallmann will play against UBC St. Poelten (#5) in St.Poelten and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
