There was no surprise in Eisenstadt where 10th ranked KOS (4-12) was defeated by eighth ranked Nord Dragonz (8-8) 78-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KOS won third quarter 23-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nord Dragonz made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by KOS helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by guard Dragisa Najdanovic (183-88) who scored that evening 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Bosnian-Slovenian center Fuad Memcic (209-82, agency: Promotex) supported him with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Nord Dragonz's coach Dusan Kozlica allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points by Slovenian guard Martin Bajc (192-94) did not help to save the game for KOS. Point guard Timi Huber (179-92) added 11 points and 8 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nord Dragonz have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. KOS lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Nord Dragonz's next round opponent will be higher ranked Lions (#4) in Dornbirn and it may be quite challenging game. KOS will play at home against BBU (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
