There was no surprise when 9th ranked Bursaspor (4-12) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Darussafaka (9-7) 87-77 on Saturday. Darussafaka forced 20 Bursaspor turnovers. Point guard Yakup Ekinci (180-2) fired 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Mahmut Celik (206-1) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Darussafaka's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Mustafa Atasoy (195-1) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and Ahmed Koc (-3) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Darussafaka maintains fourth position with 9-7 record. Bursaspor lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 12 games lost. Darussafaka will face league's second-placed TAC NEF in Tarsus in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Bursaspor will play on the road against FMV Isik BB (#10) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
