Regular Season Round 15: Domzale - Ledita D. 46-81

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Domzale: Ledita D. (#3) and Domzale (#8). Domzale was crushed at home by 35 points 46-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Ledita D. held Domzale to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Ledita D. forced 24 Domzale turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Domzale's players. It was a great evening for guard Urska Zibert (174-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Ela Stergar (185-96) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ledita D. players scored in double figures. Ledita D.'s coach Alen Ploj felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Katarina Geric (188-98) with 7 points and 18 rebounds and forward Nika Ilovar (176-97) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Ledita D. have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Ledita D. maintains third place with 9-4 record having four points less than leader Celje. Domzale lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Ledita D. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Maribor (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Domzale will play against the league's leader Celje and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
