Regular Season Round 26: Perlas - Taurages 103-99

Very expected game in Vilnius where 14th ranked Taurages (6-18) was defeated by fifth ranked Perlas (13-11) 103-99 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Perlas outrebounded Taurages 45-28 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Augustas Marciulionis (192-2) who had a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Azuolas Tubelis (205-2) chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. Five Perlas players scored in double figures. Forward Rytis Biliartas (201-91) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) added 25 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the guests. Perlas maintains fifth position with 13-11 record. Taurages lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Jonava. Perlas will meet at home higher ranked Silute (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Taurages will play against Vytis (#9) and hope to secure a win.
