Proliga top team - Imortal (13-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Sanjoanense (6-7) in Sao Joao 91-65. Imortal forced 20 Sanjoanense turnovers. Naturalized Angolan Antonio Monteiro (204-89, agency: Promo Sport ID) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American forward Tanner Omlid (196-93, college: W.Oregon) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Four Imortal players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Torrance Johnson (198, college: Purdue NW, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Emanuel Sa scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Imortal have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Sanjoanense at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Dragon Force. Imortal are looking forward to face Benfica B (#12) in Lisbon in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sanjoanense will play at home against Electrico FC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
