Regular Season Round 15: Pinar Karsiyaka - Anadolu Efes 80-82

The most exciting game of round 15 in the BSL took place in Karsiyaka. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-best Pinar Karsiyaka (12-3) to first ranked Anadolu Efes (14-1) 82-80 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pinar Karsiyaka. Anadolu Efes made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Pinar Karsiyaka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). American point guard Shane Larkin (180-92, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 21 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tony Taylor (184-90, college: GWU) who recorded 17 points and 7 assists and American power forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record. Pinar Karsiyaka at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Fenerbahce. Anadolu Efes are looking forward to face OGM Orman (#13) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pinar Karsiyaka will play at home against Bandirma (#6) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
