Regular Season Round 15: Goettingen - ALBA 72-71

The game between third ranked ALBA Berlin (10-3) and fourteenth ranked BG Goettingen (6-8) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. ALBA Berlin was edged by BG Goettingen in a tough game in Goettingen 71-72. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. The best player for the winners was American forward Dylan Osetkowski (206-96, college: Texas) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) who recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 8 points and 9 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BG Goettingen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bayreuth and Braunschweig. ALBA Berlin at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. BG Goettingen is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#17) in Weissenfels in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA Berlin will have a break next round.
