Rather predictable result in Tarsus where second ranked TAC NEF (13-3) outscored 5th ranked Gaziantep (7-9) 87-62 on Sunday. TAC NEF dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Gaziantep's 28. TAC NEF forced 21 Gaziantep turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Murat Guzelocak (-1) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Berkay Civgin (-1) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. Five TAC NEF players scored in double figures. Koray Cekici (-2) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and Huseyin Yilmaz (-2) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. TAC NEF maintains second position with 13-3 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. Loser Gaziantep keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. TAC NEF will face Darussafaka (#4) in Istanbul in the next round. Gaziantep will play on the road against Besiktas in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
