There was no surprise when 11th ranked Portoroz (2-8) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Ilirija (6-5) 88-58 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Ilirija led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Alen Malovcic (199-2, agency: BeoBasket) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Petar Vujacic (196-0) chipped in 18 points. Power forward Adin Kavgic (195-87) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Aleks Cveticanin (190-93) added 3 points and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ilirija. They moved-up to fifth place. Portoroz lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Ilirija's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ljubljana Ljubljana.
