Regular Season Round 27: Taurages - Vytis 77-78

Fourteenth-ranked Taurages (6-19) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Vytis (12-14) on Thursday. The visitors from Sakiai managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for guard Karolis Kokoska (196-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) helped adding 19 points. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Oskaras Pleikys (200-1) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Liudas Valantinas (191-88) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Vytis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Delikatesas. Taurages lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 19 games lost. They share it with Silales Lusis. Vytis will meet at home Palanga (#9) in the next round. Taurages will play against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
