Regular Season Round 15: Bornova Bld - Final Spor 78-87

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Final Spor and 10th ranked Bornova Bld had identical 8-6 record. But Bornova Bld was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Bursa 87-78 on Friday night. The best player for the winners was American point guard Marlain Veal (175-96, college: SE Louisiana) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Ahmet Cantitiz (193-92) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Final Spor players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Donte Clark (194-94, college: Texas Southern, agency: Inception Sports) who recorded 26 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Eren Ocakturk (204-87) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Final Spor (9-6) moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Bornova Bld dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Final Spor will face Mamak (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bornova Bld will play against Manisa and hope to win that game.
