An interesting game for Chemnitz (17-1) which played road game in Jena against 3rd placed Science City Jena (12-6). First ranked Chemnitz had an easy win 97-68. Chemnitz forced 21 Science City Jena turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for guard Malte Ziegenhagen (195-91, college: Keiser) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Chemnitz players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Polish swingman Dennis Nawrocki (193-92) responded with 20 points and American guard Matt Vest (195-92, college: Wright St.) scored 11 points and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chemnitz have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-1 record. Science City Jena at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Chemnitz will play against Gladiators (#5) in Trier in the next round. Science City Jena will have a break next round.
