Very expected game when 15th ranked Schalke (5-13) lost to eighth ranked Uni Baskets (10-8) in Paderborn 81-94 on Friday. Uni Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Schalke's players. Quite impressive performance for American guard Kendale McCullum (185-96, college: Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists for the winners. Ward is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and center Adam Touray (208-94) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Schalke. Four Uni Baskets and five Schalke players scored in double figures. Schalke's coach Alexander Osipovich let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Uni Baskets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Heidelberg. Loser Schalke keeps the fifteenth position with 13 games lost.
