No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Antalya 07 (9-6) defeated at home 10th ranked Fenerbahce G. (5-9) 68-59 on Friday. Antalya 07 forced 27 Fenerbahce G. turnovers. Strangely Fenerbahce G. outrebounded Antalya 07 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Loryn Goodwin (175-94, college: Oklahoma St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 9 steals. Naturalized Swedish guard Meryem Gultekin (166-90) helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds and swingman Merve Ari (180-98, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) scored 3 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Fenerbahce G.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Antalya 07 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Duzce Bld. Newly promoted Fenerbahce G. keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Antalya 07 will meet league's leader Emlak Konut in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fenerbahce G. will play against Urla BLD (#16) and hope to secure a win.
