Regular Season Round 10: Yerevan - Gyumri 115-83

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Gyumri (2-11) was crushed on the road by third ranked Yerevan (7-6) 115-83. It looked good early as Gyumri took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Yerevan had a 23-14 second period charge getting the lead and Gyumri was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-115. They outrebounded Gyumri 55-33 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yerevan players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Gyumri's players. American Dante Bailey (201-94, college: Langston, agency: One Motive Sports) notched 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international Albert Tatevosyan (195-93) supported him with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Yerevan players scored in double figures. Even 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals by American point guard Julian Winton (183-96, college: Tabor) did not help to save the game for Gyumri. His fellow American import guard Atencio Martin (196-95, college: S.Maine CC) added 27 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Newly promoted Yerevan maintains third position with 7-6 record having three points less than leader Aragatz. Gyumri lost fourth consecutive game. Gyumri at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost.
