Important game to mention about took place in Istanbul. Fourteenth ranked Acibadem (5-11) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Besiktas (7-9) 92-91 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Besiktas. Acibadem brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Network Sports International) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Australian-South Sudanese center Mangok Mathiang (208-92, college: Louisville) who added 20 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks during the contest. Acibadem's coach Zafer Aktas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side the former international center Oguz Savas (212-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and American Shaquielle McKissic (196-90, college: ASU) scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Acibadem moved-up to thirteenth place. Besiktas at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom and Bursaspor. Acibadem's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Galatasaray.
