Regular Season Round 10: Rivne - Frankivsk 83-80

Sixth-ranked Frankivsk (0-10) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked BK Rivne (5-5). BK Rivne managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80. However their fans expected easier game. Frankivsk was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 31-20 charge of BK Rivne, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Frankivsk's 34. Center Tetiana Havrylchyk (193-0) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Viktoriya Shmatova (170-87) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Arina Bilotserkivska (170-89) responded with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and power forward Daryna Dubrovska (190-99) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BK Rivne moved-up to third place, which they share with Interkhim. Frankivsk at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. BK Rivne will play against league's leader Kyiv Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Frankivsk will play against Chaika (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
