Regular Season Round 15: Akhisar Bld - Ankara B. 79-74

Very expected game when 15th ranked Ankara B. (2-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Akhisar Bld (9-6) 79-74 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was forward Hazer Avci (206-87) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: URI) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Terrell Carter-II (208, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Ali Kavaklioglu (186-86) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively. Ankara B.'s coach Ahmet Arif Turhan rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Akhisar Bld moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Ankara B. dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Akhisar Bld will face league's second-placed Socar Petkim at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ankara B. will play against the league's leader Fethiye (#1) and hope to win that game.
