Regular Season Round 15: Rhoendorf - Ibbenbueren 102-84

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Dragons Rhoendorf and second-best Ibbenbueren had identical 11-5 record. This time Dragons Rhoendorf used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ibbenbueren 102-84 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in West. Dragons Rhoendorf forced 19 Ibbenbueren turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Curtis Hollis (198-98, college: Hutchinson CC) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard Anish Sharda (187-82, college: St.Mary's, KS) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Benjamin Fumey (203-87, college: Valpo) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Bryce Leavitt (194-94, college: Seattle Pacific) added 15 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Ibbenbueren. Four Ibbenbueren players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragons Rhoendorf (12-5) moved-up to second place in West. Loser Ibbenbueren dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
