There was no surprise when 14th ranked Muenchen OSB (3-12) lost on the road to ninth ranked Vilsbiburg (7-8) 103-93 on Saturday. Vilsbiburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Kendall Stafford (193-97, college: N.Alabama) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized American guard Kenny Fluellen (191-90, college: Paine) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Fluellen is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. Forward Jermaine Lippert (203-90, college: Detroit Mercy) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and Spanish forward Oscar Gonzalez (200-97) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Muenchen OSB. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vilsbiburg moved-up to eighth place in South-East, which they share with Regnitztal. Loser Muenchen OSB keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Vilsbiburg will face Rosenheim (#11) on the road in the next round.
