There was no surprise in Ankara where 11th ranked Botas (3-10) was crushed by second ranked Ormanspor (11-2) 86-67. Ormanspor outrebounded Botas 40-27 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. International guard Pelin Bilgic (175-94) notched 21 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Montenegrin-American forward Angelica Robinson (197-87, college: Georgia) supported her with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Ormanspor's coach Alper Durur allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by Russian forward Marina Bas (194-85) did not help to save the game for Botas. International Melis Gulcan (186-96) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests. Ormanspor have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-2 record behind leader Fenerbahce. Botas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with ten games lost. Ormanspor's next round opponent will be Cukurova (#11) in Mersin and are hoping to win another game. Botas will play on the road against Galatasaray in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
