Regular Season Round 16: Pinar Karsiyaka - Bandirma 91-82

Very expected game when 6th ranked Bandirma (9-7) lost on the road to second ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (13-3) 91-82 on Saturday. Pinar Karsiyaka made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American power forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Tony Taylor (184-90, college: GWU) contributed with 15 points and 8 assists for the winners. Pinar Karsiyaka's coach Ufuk Sarica used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Ridvan Oncel (190-97) replied with 20 points and American point guard Jaime Smith (190-89, college: Al.-Huntsville, agency: Wasserman) added 15 points in the effort for Bandirma. Four Pinar Karsiyaka and five Bandirma players scored in double figures. Pinar Karsiyaka maintains second position with 13-3 record having just two points less than leader Anadolu Efes, which they share with Fenerbahce. Loser Bandirma keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Pinar Karsiyaka will face Buyukcekmece (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bandirma will play against OGM Orman (#14) and hope to win that game.
