Regular Season Round 15: Koblenz - Kronberg 98-52

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Koblenz (11-4) crushed at home 13th ranked Kronberg (4-11) 98-52 on Saturday. Koblenz dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kronberg's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kronberg's players. It was a good game for Bosnian-Slovenian power forward Edin Alispahic (208-88) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Yassin Mahfouz (194-93) contributed with 8 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Koblenz players scored in double figures. Koblenz's coach Christos Diktapanidis felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Nicolas Lagerman (192-1) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Tim Steiner (186-92) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kronberg. The victory was the third consecutive win for Koblenz. They maintain second place in South-West with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Ansbach. Loser Kronberg dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Koblenz will face Fellbach (#6) at home in the next round. Kronberg will play against Mannheim (#11) and hope to win that game.
