Very predictable result when sixth ranked Topstar (8-6) won against on the road 11th ranked Bad Aibling (5-10) 88-72 on Saturday. Topstar dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bad Aibling's 32 and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Topstar made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American guard Charlie Brown (185, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: One Motive Sports) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Dominik Veney (198-87) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Topstar players scored in double figures. Guard Simon Bradaric answered with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Mario Hack-Vazquez (190-98) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bad Aibling. Topstar moved-up to fourth place in South-East, which they share with Schwabing and Bayern 3. Bad Aibling lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Topstar will face Jena 2 (#7) on the road in the next round. Bad Aibling will play against the league's leader Ansbach (#1) and hope to win that game.
