Regular Season Round 15: Ansbach - TSV Troester 92-86

An interesting game for Ansbach (13-2) which hosted in Ansbach second-best TSV Troester (9-5). First ranked Ansbach managed to get a 6-point victory 92-86. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of TSV Troester. Ansbach made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded TSV Troester 31-16 including a 21-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American point guard TyLik Evans (173-96, college: USC Aiken) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Christian Imberi (193-82, college: Jamestown) contributed with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Erik Land (205-90) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alexander Engel (191-93) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for TSV Troester. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ansbach have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place in South-East with 13-2 record. Loser TSV Troester keeps the second position with five games lost. Ansbach will face Bad Aibling (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. TSV Troester will play against Bayern 3 (#6) and hope to win that game.
