Regular Season Round 15: Fethiye - Yalova Bld 83-80

Twelfth-ranked Yalova Bld (6-9) made lots of trouble for first ranked Fethiye (12-3) on Saturday. Fethiye managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80. However their fans expected much easier game. Fethiye looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Mert Gizir (193-94) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Fethiye players scored in double figures. Fethiye's coach Alkim Ay used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-94, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Ahmet Tunali (203-92) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Fethiye have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Fethiye maintains first place with 12-3 record. Yalova Bld at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. Fethiye are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Ankara B. (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yalova Bld will play against Duzce Belediye (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
