Regular Season Round 15: OrangeAcademy - Speyer 92-83

There was a minor upset in Ulm where 6th ranked Speyer (7-7) was defeated by ninth ranked OrangeAcademy (6-9) 92-83 on Saturday. OrangeAcademy looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (197-1) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 8 assists. Forward Christoph Philipps (203-98) helped adding 21 points and 9 rebounds. Four OrangeAcademy players scored in double figures. OrangeAcademy's coach Anton Gavel allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Tim Schwartz (197-87) with 26 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Russian forward Albert Kuppe (200-88) scored 27 points. OrangeAcademy moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Bayern 2 and Fraport SKY 2. Newly promoted Speyer keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. OrangeAcademy will face higher ranked Coburg (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
