The game in Kaunas was also worth to mention about. 4th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (16-10) played at the court of sixth ranked Zalgiris II (13-13). Zalgiris II defeated Neptunas-Akv. 93-80. Zalgiris II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas-Akv.'s 28. Strangely Neptunas-Akv. outrebounded Zalgiris II 44-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Erikas Venskus (205-0) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and forward Justinas Ramanauskas (193-0) who added 13 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Klaidas Metrikis (204-0) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris II maintains sixth position with 13-13 record. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Zalgiris II will play against bottom-ranked Taurages (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Perlas (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
