There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (7-8) lost on the road to tenth ranked Ulm BBU 01 (7-8) 97-93 on Saturday. Ulm BBU 01 made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Ulm BBU 01 outrebounded Saarlouis/Dillingen 43-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Saarlouis/Dillingen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Jakob Hanzalek (190-3) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Robert Stark (196-98) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Ulm BBU 01's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) answered with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Bulgarian Filip Kamenov (200-95) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Saarlouis/Dillingen. Four Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. Ulm BBU 01 moved-up to seventh place in South-West, which they share with defeated Saarlouis/Dillingen.
