Regular Season Round 10: Chaika - Dynamo-NPU 56-54

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Superleague took place in Berdiansk. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Dynamo-NPU (6-3) to fifth ranked Chaika (3-8) 56-54 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dynamo-NPU. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 56-54. Chaika forced 22 Dynamo-NPU turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Tatyana Panchenko who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international center Yevgeniya MBaye (192-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Viktoriya Babych (183-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and international Vladyslava Voloshyna (180-0) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo-NPU. Chaika maintains fifth position with 3-8 record. Defending champion Dynamo-NPU keeps the second place with three games lost. Chaika are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Frankivsk (#6) in Ivano-Frankivsk in the next round. Dynamo-NPU will play at home against Interkhim (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
