Regular Season Round 13: Constanta - Medias 64-88

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Constanta (5-8) was rolled over at home by third ranked Medias (10-3) 88-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-64. Medias outrebounded Constanta 46-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international Titus Nicoara (203-88, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Octavian Calota (185-84) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Medias players scored in double figures. American forward Rahsaan Williams (206, college: Felician) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Kyle Kilgore (201, college: Dakota St.) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Medias maintains third place in Nationala with 10-3 record behind leader Oradea. Loser Constanta keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Medias will face league's second-placed Galati at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Constanta will play against Marmatiei and hope to win that game.
