Regular Season Round 20: Karlsruhe PS - Uni Baskets 95-114

Date: January 12, 2020
Very predictable result in Karlsruhe where eighth ranked Uni Baskets (11-8) smashed 14th ranked Lions (6-13) 114-95 on Sunday. Uni Baskets shot 60.7 percent from the field and had 23 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Lions only scored seven points from the stripe. Uni Baskets shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kendale McCullum (185-96, college: Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import guard Jackson Trapp (193-92, college: FAU) who added 25 points during the contest. Trapp is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Filmore Beck (190-91) responded with 28 points and American forward Bryan Coleman (198-92, college: Wayne St., MI) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Five Uni Baskets and four Lions players scored in double figures. Lions' coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Uni Baskets have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Trier and Nuernberg. Loser Lions keep the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Uni Baskets will face Kirchheim Knights (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Lions will play against Rostock (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
