Regular Season Round 14: Sostines - Zalgiris II 83-65

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sostines (7-6) beat 10th ranked Zalgiris II (4-9) in Vilniaus 83-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sostines. Zalgiris II managed to win fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sostines looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Zalgiris II's players. Rokas Radzevicius (-2) notched 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Ernestas Stulgis (-2) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Four Sostines players scored in double figures. Sostines' coach Tomas Purlys used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by guard Matas Masiliunas (179-2) did not help to save the game for Zalgiris II. Swingman Paulius Dembinskas (195-2) added 6 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Sostines maintains fourth position with 7-6 record, which they share with Tornado KM. Loser Zalgiris II keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. Sostines will meet Tornado KM (#5) in the next round. Zalgiris II will play against Panevezio (#3) and hope to secure a win.
