Regular Season Round 15: Crailsheim 2 - Idstein 72-63

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Idstein (8-7) against fifth ranked Crailsheim 2 (9-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Idstein was defeated by Crailsheim 2 in a tough game in Crailsheim 63-72. Crailsheim 2 forced 19 Idstein turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Trevon Evans (183-95, college: Sioux Falls) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 5 steals. Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (190-2) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Crailsheim 2's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Julian DeBose (193-92, college: FGCU) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Fabio Wedel added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Idstein in the defeat. Crailsheim 2 moved-up to third place in South-West. Idstein lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Langen and Fellbach. Crailsheim 2 will meet Saarlouis/Dillingen (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Idstein will play against Giessen Pointers (#9) and hope to secure a win.
