Regular Season Round 20: Chemnitz - Trier 99-92

Date: January 14, 2020
ProA top team - Chemnitz (18-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Gladiators (11-8) 99-92. Chemnitz forced 23 Gladiators turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Gladiators' players. The winners were led by American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 assists and forward Jonas Richter (205-97) supported him with 12 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Even 23 points by power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) did not help to save the game for Gladiators. American guard Jordan Geist (188-97, college: Missouri, agency: 3Eye) added 18 points and 4 steals for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chemnitz have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-1 record. Gladiators at the other side dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Uni Baskets and Nuernberg. Chemnitz will play against bottom-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (#17) in Allmendingen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gladiators will play on the road against Bayer Giants (#7) in Leverkusen and hope to get back on the winning track.
