No shocking result in a game when Silute (20-8) crushed at home 8th ranked Silales Lusis (7-21) 81-62 on Thursday. Silute dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Silales Lusis' 30. Silute forced 23 Silales Lusis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Point guard Andrius Gaidys (180-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 8 steals. American swingman Omar Alston (203-97, college: Morehouse) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Silute players scored in double figures. Center Eimantas Zilius (200-99) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Deividas Kumelis (188-95) added 11 points and 6 assists in the effort for Silales Lusis. Silales Lusis' coach Valdemaras Kasmauskas tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Silute went down to third position due to points difference. Newly promoted Silales Lusis dropped to the twelfth place with 21 games lost. Silute will face Suduva-Mantinga (#4) in Marijampole in the next round. Silales Lusis will play at home against Jonava (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
