A very interesting game took place in Adana. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Duzce Bld (9-7) to fourteenth ranked Botas (5-10) 75-72 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Botas made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Botas had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Duzce Bld helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American center Tearra Banks (188-95, college: Austin Peay) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Betul Kutlu (170-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Five Botas players scored in double figures. American-Lebanese center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Buket Unal (-1) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Botas moved-up to twelfth place. Duzce Bld at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Botas' next round opponent will be Yalova Vip (#15) on the road.
