A very close game took place in Balikesir between Edremit and Bursa BSB. Ninth ranked Edremit (8-7) got a very close home victory over 8th ranked Bursa BSB (8-9). Edremit managed to escape with a 2-point win 72-70 in the fight for the eighth place. Edremit forced 19 Bursa BSB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American Jessica Jackson (192-95, college: Arkansas) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Tugce Murat (194-91, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) supported her with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 17 rebounds by American power forward Chandra Harris (185-89, college: Georgia St.) did not help to save the game for Bursa BSB. Gizem Uca (170-94) added 20 points for lost side. Edremit moved-up to eighth place. Bursa BSB lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Edremit will meet higher ranked Duzce Bld (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bursa BSB will play against Sakarya Y. and hope to secure a win.
