Regular Season Round 16: Saarlouis/Dillingen - Crailsheim 2 100-93

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Crailsheim 2 (9-7) against eighth ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (8-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Crailsheim 2 was defeated by Saarlouis/Dillingen in a tough game in Saarlouis 93-100. Saarlouis/Dillingen dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Crailsheim 2's 38. They outrebounded Crailsheim 2 36-24 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Saarlouis/Dillingen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Crailsheim 2 was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 8 assists (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field). Bulgarian Filip Kamenov (200-95) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Trevon Evans (183-95, college: Sioux Falls) replied with 29 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Croatian-Bosnian power forward Sandro Antunovic (207-98) added 19 points in the effort for Crailsheim 2. Four Crailsheim 2 players scored in double figures. Saarlouis/Dillingen moved-up to sixth place in South-West, which they share with Fellbach. Crailsheim 2 at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Idstein. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
