We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 12th ranked Sakarya Y. (5-11) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Mersin Uni (6-11) 86-74 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-96, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Zeynep Sahin (-97) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Nazli Guler (184-82) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Tugce Kanat (173-85) added 17 points in the effort for Sakarya Y.Five Mersin Uni and four Sakarya Y. players scored in double figures. Mersin Uni moved-up to eleventh place. Sakarya Y. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Mersin Uni will face higher ranked Mardin BSB (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sakarya Y. will play against Bursa BSB (#9) and hope to win that game.
