Regular Season Round 15: Postojna - Medvode 70-68

A very interesting game took place in Postojna. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Medvode (4-10) to tenth ranked Postojna (5-9) 70-68 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Medvode took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Postojna had a 22-14 second period charge getting the lead and Medvode was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-70. Postojna players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian center Teo Simovic (206-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Erik Kralj (190-97) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Point guard Jakob Jesih (184-96) came up with 22 points and David Puric (193-95) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Medvode in the defeat. Postojna moved-up to eighth place. Medvode at the other side dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Postojna's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Triglav in Kranj and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Medvode will play at home against Hrastnik (#4) and hope to win that game.
