Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Ibbenbueren (12-6) outscored at home 8th ranked Grevenbroich (8-10) 111-62 on Saturday. Ibbenbueren dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Grevenbroich's 28. They outrebounded Grevenbroich 52-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ibbenbueren looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Grevenbroich's players. American-Spanish guard Marco Porcher-Jimenez (193-92, college: FIU) fired 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Bryce Leavitt (194-94, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Ibbenbueren players scored in double figures. Ibbenbueren's coach Marc Pohlmann felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Bastian Becker (196-89) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and Simon Koenigs (195-95) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Ibbenbueren moved-up to third place in West, which they share with Rhoendorf. Loser Grevenbroich dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
