Regular Season Round 17: Jezica - Ledita D. 72-60

An interesting game for Jezica (14-1) which hosted in Ljubljana 3rd placed Ledita D. (10-5). Second ranked Jezica managed to get a 12-point victory 72-60. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ledita D.. The game without a history. Jezica led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Maja Jakobcic (184-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Sandra Bajrektarevic (170-90) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Jezica players scored in double figures. Guard Urska Zibert (174-93) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Eva Prevodnik (166-99) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ledita D.Jezica have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-1 record behind leader Celje. Newly promoted Ledita D. keeps the third position with five games lost. Jezica are looking forward to face league's leader Celje on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ledita D. will play against Ilrija and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
